Iron City Polaris Phoenix,AZ

I have had my 08 Ranger XP 700 into Iron City Polaris for 2 weeks now with a cracked grill and belt squeal when I go from low to high. On the belt squeal they told me it was a clutch bearing and they would have to order one, I was also told that I could get it faster if I paid to overnight ship it and I said no I would wait, that was the first week. I spoke with Lea the service manager last week and she said I could pick it up this Friday. Well I called this morning and was told it still wasn't done but they would have it done for me tomorrow (Saturday) and could pick it up. I then get a call this afternoon and was told it was the whole clutch assemble and they would have to order that too. (Apparently they never really took it apart to look). It won't be in till next Thursday and she said she would try to have it by the next Friday.

Has anyone else had bad service from Iron City Polaris in Phoenix or am I the first? Oh yeah just talked with my son-n-law and he told me they have had his for a week for some warranty issues and they still haven’t even looked at his. I know they have some good prices on Rangers but I don't think they have good service on what they sell.

Does anybody have a recommendation for an honest service shop for not only warranty repairs but for service also?

Sorry about the rant but I'm not happy.

Tim

Update, I just spoke with Brad at ICP (nice guy by the way) and he told me he would look into it Monday. I want ya all to know I wasn't here to bash ICP. It was just the first time I have used their service department and happened to have issues. After speaking to Brad I do feel confident that ICP is a class act and he will rectify any problems I've had. Thank you Brad.

Boy if that doesn't sound familiar! I was the GM at a big Honda shop and we had the same problems. Mechanics who got all impressed with themselves and didn't really know S. H. I. T. but demanded the big bucks.

Fortunately for me, I know enough about this stuff to do most of my own repairs and diagnostics.

Very few shops have real mechanics so when you find a guy who will work with and for you then toss him a $20 on the side so he gets your stuff right for the next $20. A case of beer and a Pizza for lunch goes a long way in this business.

Sounds about right.

Most AZ dealers suk. But what can you do, Iron City or the Ride now Evil Empire

It's like being asked if you want to be kicked in the right one or the left one

Sounds about right Scooby. My dad took his Ranger to Metro for his belt squealing. He told them it also shudders when you start off. They told him the mechanic didn't feel a thing or hear a noise. They never drove the ranger. My dad demanded the mechanic that supposedly drove it to come take a ride with him. Oh what's that the mysterious noise and shudder. What a joke.
