New Tires

Hey guys, I want to put some new tires on my 08 XP and would like to keep them the stock size so the ranger will fit in my toyhauler. Do you have any recommendations of brand and type? And where's the best (cheapest) place to buy them and have them mounted?

Thanks Tim

Re: New Tires

Everyone either goes with Bighorns or Terracross

I have read about people saying the terracross have weaker sidewalls or whatever , But I have had them for about a year , gone through all kinds of terrain and not had a problem and they look great, are wearing and riding great.
And I see them on lots of the offroad race sidexsides too.

I also see that they have improved them even more now with the extreme duty to be more puncture resistant http://www.itptires.com/utilityatv/terracross.html

Check Craigs list there are several dealers on there that make deals , Or you might even find a set of lightly used tires on wheels, and then sell your originals ,thats what I did , once, no twice, wait I've done that 3 times now VERY HAPPY with this setup

Re: New Tires

I did a quick search on CL and found a few for you to think about.

Personaly I get the 14" bounty hunters and then sell your originals,
they would end up costing you about $200 and you would be upgrading to 14"s

By the way I had these same wheels and tires before my last swap and they were great !!! maybe a little taller than stock and wider.

Re: New Tires

That's a GREAT resource. I just bought my second Ranger last week from a guy who ran the tread off the front tires in only 60 hours (used it only on the streets of Pinetop and nowhere else). I'll definately be calling Erik the Tire guy this week to replace them.
Thanks for getting the AZ Club going!
