Mud Kit and Diamond plate??

Hey all. Looking for some alum. Diamond plate to make a hard top. Looking for a 5'x10' sheet of 14 or 16 Ga. Any idea of where in AZ.? Has anybody else made a solid top What thickness did you use or do you THINK would be strong enough without to much weight? Any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Hopefully have some left over for floor boards.

Ordered the mud kit from DJ Fab. Will post how it works and also if it helps with the dust at all (I hope!!) All of us that ride in AZ. know how dusty it is!!!!!!!!!

Re: Mud Kit and Diamond plate??

Just recieved my mud kit. WOW All around a great looking kit!!!!!! I haven't found time to install, but it's ALL there and it sits right in place and doesn't look like it will take more than a couple hours to install. I'll post more about the install, if I ever get time off to do that. Just looks like really good service and quality.
Thanks DJFAB

Re: Mud Kit and Diamond plate??

GOT it installed!!!! What a great quality kit. Fit perfect and came with all the parts to install it, including a drill bit needed for some of the self tapping bolts!!!!!!!! Installing the pieces behind the tank and tool box was easy. Putting the pieces on the bottom of the bed was a little more challenging, but doable. Stripped a couple of the bolts trying to use the existing holes in the bed, but they were not consistant so I drilled them out with the drill supplied, put a drop of oil on the self tappers and had no more problems. It looks great and is super functional. Took it out on a hot day and did NOT notice any difference in temps, the fan did not seem to run any more often. One extra perc for the AZ. rider, I feel that it helped with the amount of dust that filters into the engine compartment and around the back of the seat. I'll know more after getting it in some REAL dirt soon. I'd highly reccomend this if your doing any muddin at all
