Lock and Ride rubber expansion eye bolt anchors

--Ref Ranger 700 & 800 Crew Cargo Box anchor inserts with eye bolts that do the trick and are easy to assemble!

-Order through Advanceautoparts.com part number 02602 which should be the Expand-Tite 1 3/8ths" - 1 1/2" expansion plug.

-Pick-up from your local Ace or TrueValue hardware store a 5/16ths" x 3 1/4" stainless steel eye bolt, with 5/16" nut included.

-Remove the supplied 1 1/4" threaded square bolt from the rubber plug, saving nut & washer.

-Spin one nut toward the top of the eye bolt, then insert the eye bolt through the 1 1/2" round washer that came with the rubber plug.

-Push eye bolt through the rubber expansion plug, then through the washer with the square hole, then place the second nut on the bottom of eye bolt and snug it up,along with the washer, to the bottom of the plug.

-Insert the plug into any lock and ride hole, then tighten the top nut down until the desired plug expansion pressure is reached.

-Voila!...you have made an strong eye bolt anchor for a total cost of about $6.00 each!

Added tip: Spray some black, Performix "Plastic Dip," which is a rubber coating ,on the exposed part of the anchor to give a nice matching look to the cargo box.

-Note: No guarantees, but I believe the diameter (about 43mm or 1 1/2") on the lock and ride cargo box holes is consistent throughout the Polaris line-up, so this anchor system should work on other Polaris cargo boxes. Someone might want to weigh in on this if this is not the case.
