Guys - What is a Preloader?

I saw this as a suggested compliment to 27" tires. I guess this is not the same as a lift kit, which I have, but have not yet installed.

Would anyone in the know give me some pros and cons of each?

Thanks.

Re: Guys - What is a Preloader?

Follow the link to see an article on preloading and adjusting your suspension. http://atv.off-road.com/atv/article/articleDetail.jsp?id=192286 The article takes a few seconds to load so be patient. It appears that preloading keeps the suspension from sagging so much under a load. This adds more clearance for the same load. the lift kit physically lifts the machine by adding more height to the top of the shocks. You can preload enough to actually lift the machine higher before it is loaded. Sort of taking the weight of the machine off of the shocks. Spinal tap will increase with preloading and remain about the same with a lift.
