Under seat compartmen on Ranger

Recently, I have purcased a new 2008 Ranger XP Le Dark Red in color with black/silver alloy type wheels. I have searched the net and found this forum very informative about the Ranger.
I have never been on a forum and am new at this so "bear" with me if I make mistakes.
My problem is the under-seat storage compartment door comes unlatched during operation. The turn style knob vibrates open allowing the door to fall open without my knowledge. I would like to have a spring loaded knob the same as the stock on only spring loaded but am unable to locate one. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks again.

Now about your door. I think you have a problem with your latch. The machine does vibrate but mine and fellow riders never had a problem with the door coming open. One thing I would look at is the latch arm. You might be able to bend it a little to help make it latch tighter. Also that door has a rubber seal this helps make the door fit tight. If yours is missing not thick enough it could be letting the door get loose.

never had any problems with mine either,we'll except tearing it off once on a big tree root.

Welcome to the forum, like josh said the door has a seal all the way around it and make sure it is seated properly. if its still under warranty i'd take it back to the dealer if u cant fix it.
