My 2003 Ranger 6x6 ha around 70 hours.
In Low, it can go 18mph while High gets 38-39mph. Is this normal?
I pulled the original belt out and it seems fine although I replaced it anyway.
Sounds to me like a perfect time to say, "Never fix what aint broke" LOL. I have another saying that applies to Polaris clutches, "When going slow go in low".
I have no idea what top speed in low range will be in my RZR because I don't use low for going full out. I think 40 MPH in high range in a 6 by is about what you should expect. They are after all a work horse and about as aerodynamic as a cinder block.
Save the old belt just in case you ever blow the new one and need to get back home. Most premature belt wear can be directly traced to running slow or in high torque conditions while in high gear. It take a second or 2 the switch the shifter but it takes a while to change the belt and costs cash dollars that did not need to be wasted.
