Re: Heat from radiator comeing thru streering column.

OK, I have now done everything possible to stop the heat and so far it is much better.
The "Foot Saver" was first, then I took dark grey 2" thick seat foam (any upholstery place shoud have it) and cut some pieces to fit around the steering column, doesnt impede it BTW, then I cut pieces to fit around and behind the cup holders plus fill in the gap between the body and cowling in the same area.
I just tested it because it is warm today,(98') actually think it is at least 75% better if not more. I still felt some heat so after parking with the fan running I believe the heat to be coming from the wheel wells and being sucked around and into the cab area, not much you can do about that. I am pretty satisfied with my 'back yard" solutions, too bad Polaris can't figure it out from the get go huh? good luck

Re: Heat from radiator comeing thru streering column.

On my 2008 Ranger crew the passengers in the back seat complained of the hot seat. I went to Lowes and bought a roll of foam padding that has foil on one side and adheasive on the other. It is about 12 inches wide. I put it on the underside of the seat. Also put some on the underside of the bed as the grandkids were griping about it getting hot also. Has been on about a year and still stuck well. Don't remember the cost but not much. Helped a lot. Seems like it was in the area where they sell stove pipe, etc for wood burning heaters.
