I know this is an old post but I feel the need to let everone know this. I bought a 800 Crew in Dec, of 2010 and my buddy bought a 500 Crew in Jan. of 2011. Both of our machines have had the main drive chain and gears replaced in the transmission due to them stretching out and slipping. there has to be a serious issue w/ these chains for there to be this many complaints. I think ours went out so fast because of the length and weight of them and we offroad the crap out of them as well. We have also had front diff problems as well.

ok guys i know exactly what yall are describing. i have a 2011 800 ranger and i am fixin to rebuild it for the 2nd time. the 1st time it was my fault! theyre not made to pull a 3/4 ton dodge and goose neck up a hill!!! but the 2nd time i was backing out of a mud hole and it went to popping. so what it is is the terf saver mode. its weak as shit so ima figure out a way to beef it up!!! ima b posting some vids on youtube on the noise and the problems and how to rebuild it. itll be under mucknnutz on youtube... i think ive got some pics of the last one i can post on here if i can figure out how to do it.
