Re: Hard to shift

Have you tried lowering your engine rpm. My Ranger XP idles and shifts great at around 1,100 rpm. Your clutch and drive belt may still be engaging at 1,250 rpm.

I am experiencing the same thing with my 2012 crew 800. I find after a ride through wet or some mud the accelerator is somehow sticking and keeping the idle up around 1500-1600 rpm. It shifts effortlessly and doesn't move around 1200-1250. There is definitely a glitch.

There should be a place in the cable where you can adjust the length under the seat. You definitely want to get it slowed down, few things can be harder on a belt.
