2010 Ranger seat problems
Has anyone else had a problem with their seat sliding out, we took the ranger out for the first time to moto mountain. Alot of hills when we went down some fairly steep, the darn seat would slide out extreamly annoying. Just curious if thats a common problem, or am I just lucky. THANKS!

You're not alone...I have a 2010 800XP Ranger as well. I had the same thing happen to us while driving down some hills. The plastic seat pin on the driver's side folded back and the rear seat tab pulled out of the slot. It was fairly hot outside, and the unit was plenty warm for sure. I stopped at the bottom of the hill, pulled the seat off and straightened the pin...seemede to be very soft! It happened again shortly after, and I did the same thing. This time after I straightened the pin, I tried to hold myself with my feet while we went down the hills.
 I looked at our 07 Ranger and it has a little different design, with a metal pin. I will be talking to my dealer this week, and will post what becomes of it. Let me know what you find out on your end.

Hey Guys, there is a kit available from Polaris now to repair the seat pin issue. Mine is getting fixed next week. They are going to replace the plastic seat pin, with a steel pin and bracket. Call your dealer and they should know about the fix.

I just spoke to my dealer and he hadn't heard about the fix, he didn't know there was one needed actually since our elevation in my area only goes to about 2500 ft lol lol so he is putting in a request and will tco as soon as he finds out from Polaris

has this problem been seen in in the 2009 model? I am a new polaris owner and have a 09 Ranger HD, so far so good.
