DOES YOUR RANGER HAVE A PASSENGER AREA HEAT ISSUE?

I HAVE A NEW 2010 RANGER THAT HAS A SERIOUS HEAT ISSUE IN THE PASSENGER AREA. POLARIS CHOOSES NOT TO RESPOND TO MY REQUEST TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM AT THEIR EXPENSE (STILL UNDER WARRANTY). I NEED TO COLLECT A NUMBER OF NAMES THAT ARE AS UNHAPPY AS I AM WITH THE HEAT ISSUE. I INTEND TO CONTACTED THE CONSUMER SAFETY BOARD AND IF THEY GET ENOUGH COMPLAINTS THEY WILL LAUNCH AN INVESTAGATION AND POSSIBLE RECALL FOR CORRECTION. AS FAR AS I KNOW IT INVOLVES 09..10 AND 11 MODELS. MY RESEARCH TELLS ME IT CAN BE FIX AT A COST AROUND $350.00. MY POSITION IS...IF CAN BE FIXED, WHY IN THE HELL DIDN'T POLARIS DO IT RIGHT AT THE FACTORY? POLARIS ACTUALLY SELLS AN INSULATION KIT THAT WORKS PRETTY GOOD. WHY SHOULD THE CONSUMER PICK UP THE COST OF THIS. POLARIS NEEDS TO COWBOY UP ON THIS ISSUE!
YOU CAN CONTACT ME AT jeburkhart@cox.net TO ADD YOUR NAME TO THE COMPLAINT LIST. I HAVE 4 NAMES SO FAR. I WILL TAKE THE LEAD AND KEEP ALL UP TO DATE ON THE PROGRESS.
THANKS.....BIG WALLY

Good work Big Wally. For a temporary or possibly permanent fix if Polaris shines this on, see my last post in the other thread about the "heat problem", it helped a great deal!!!!!!!!

Re: DOES YOUR RANGER HAVE A PASSENGER AREA HEAT ISSUE?

I had a similar problem in my 2006 Ranger 6x6 700 EFI. My wife solved the problem under HER seat by folding up a bunch of aluminum foil we happened to have with us and putting it under the seat. It seems to have made it comfortable enough for her. Good luck.

I have a 2011 Ranger 400. Weather has been cool to down right cold since I purchased the 400, therefore heat has not been noticable. Due to the close proximity of the engine to the seat, I will likely have the same complant during the summer months.

I wonder if the engine will get too hot now that it has all that heat reflecting back on it?
