06 Ranger 500 EFI problem while elk hunting, please help

What a bummer of a hunting trip.
I took the ranger hunting in Wyoming last week and had problems right from the start.
The first day the ranger ran for about an hour just fine then when I would stop it would not start again for about 30 minutes.
I towed it back to camp and pulled the injecter and cleaned it well. I put new fuel in the tank and added an additive. It ran great for two days without any problems. Then it started up and ran fine for about an hour until I stopped to glass the mountain and it would not start again for about 45 minutes. Then when it did start it would idel fine but when I pressed the pedal it would die. I got it to lemp back to camp, changed the fuel again from a different station but th eproblem stayed.
It starts fine when it is cold but after about 30 minutes of running it will not die when not press the gas pedal and will not start again for about 30 minutes.

Any ideas on what the heck is going would be a great help.
