Bigger and roomier, The 800 Crew over the 500 Crew. I have a 800 Crew (2010), mainly to haul people around, and play around here in Mich. I totally love mine.. My friend has a 500 Crew and it is a little smaller,( motor etc.) but he really likes his also. We ride around together, but he has a nice Ranger also. Just preference I think. Wouldn't be ashamed to own either one of them. But I wouldn't trade my 800 for his. And the heat issue in the cab, as been talked about all summer. That is my preference.

I think both. Just cab heat from the engine and mostly during summer months, usually from around the gas peddle. A lot of talk in past forums. Which you can check out. Not a problem just annoying. Mine has been corrected a little and not to much a problem here in Michigan.

It is truly a problem in some cases, though. Nobody likes to get cooked.

The Ranger Crew is a big, heavy UTV. I have a 700 and couldn't see running anything smaller for a power plant. Will the 500 move it along, yes, and likely more frugally, but anything that requires big throttle like mud, sand or hill climbing will be no fun at all. I've never regretted buying a machine with more power than I wanted, but I've regretted buying one with too small a motor.
