It has a restrictor donut not a plate its located in the air intake hose coming out of your air box. Take the hose off on the intake end and its inside the hose. It will make it run like a new machine but if you have to have any warranty work done put it back in they will void the warranty if its not in there.

Thanks swampdonkie. Found it. Really appreciate the info. Do you know of any other mods that you would recommend?

This is okay if you live in an integrity free zone. Otherwise it's dishonest and makes manufactures scrutinize legitimate warranty claims even closer. It makes it even more difficult for everyone than it already is. If you want to mod your machine I say do it, we all do, but be honest about. When I get a machine the first thing it gets is clutch work, if I break an axle or something the dealer knows about it and if he thinks it was a direct result of the increased torque then I have to pay for it. No biggie. My .02

I am honest about it iv had plenty of warranty work done and they know because I told them I took the restrictor out. They told me as long as it is in there when it comes in and they take pictures of it is all they need.

Before the Ranger we had Arctic Cat and Yamaha machines. I lighten the primaries, clock the secondary and sometimes put heavier wet clutch springs in. None of those things apply to the Polaris clutch though so I'm still hunting. I think though It'll be the same drill but will need to experiment with different springs. The AC and Yamaha clutches are way cheaper to experiment with. Lighter primary and heavier secondary works for us, it's a matter of finding the right combinations.
