Re: new tires and wheels

That is awesome! What type lift do you have installed & how much ground clearance do you have? Any rubbing problems?

Re: new tires and wheels

i have a home built lift. i may have $10 in evrything . it ended up being roughly a 3" lift. the front barely rub but only at full lock and hitting a bump. they ride extremely smooth for a big tire. it is sitting at about 17" of clearance under the hitch.

Thanks for the information. I have been on the fence about larger tires and lift since I bought mine thus the reason for my questions. Are you willing to share the details of the "home built lift"? I will also read your response to Heath's inquiry regarding spacers & A-Arms. I guess you can say I have a very high fever or severe itch for the same type of set up & I know the remedy. Just gotta decide if I am going to cure it.

Re: new tires and wheels

i will get some close up pics tomorrow for yall. on the front i have a 3" spacer on top of the strut and only move the strut up in the housing an inch. as for the rear i moved the shocks to the outside location and actually took the lift blocks that go under the bed of a p/u for a body lift and cut them in half. drill a hole in the bottom and a hole from side to side to mount the shock in. on the rear a-arms above the lower shock mount there is a place to bolt the new bracket in place. then just move the bottom of the shock to its new position and tighten it up. it sounds a little complicated but once you see the pics it is very easy

Re: new tires and wheels

here is a pic of the front lift---3" spacer with the strut moved up 1"( spacer is made of a 2"x6" galvanized nipple from lowes, roughly $4)

here is the rear lift. very easy to make out of some c-channel or square tubing. also the shock is moved to the outer mount at the top.
