Any October Sky Fans Here?

I live about 7 miles on the highway from where Homer Hickam grew up and he and the Rocket Boys launched their rockets in Coalwood, WV. A movie was made about it all called October Sky. Anyway, there are some trails that run through the mountains from my house to Coalwood, so we made a ride yesterday on these trails and went to Coalwood. This is a video of pictures and clips highlighting the ride.

Nice video! I see the cup holder worked good. I liked the turtle, we don't have them around here. Pretty country!!! I had forgot this was the time of the year for blackberries and raspberries. Yes, he is a cool guy. He bought 22 CD's from me with a song on it I wrote about him. He bought them as gifts and had me mail them out to each recipient. He wrote a book called Sky of Stone and Hallmark flirted with the notion of making it into a TV movie. I used his Sky of Stone hook to write a song with his blessings. He even pitched the song to Hallmark for me, but Hallmark backed out of making the movie.
