I discovered a new trail today and saw some pretty awesome sites with the fall colors on like they are. Here are just a few examples:

Re: Hit A New Trail

We had that change here more then 3 weeks ago! The past few nights have been down in the low 20s here and there is no leaves left on the trees at all.

We already had a light dusting of snow just north of me in the higher mountains and it sure does look like winter will arrive early this year. An old farmer here says if it snows in October here then it will also snow in May and be a very long winter.

The skies have been full of Canadian Geese heading your way Cathead and all day today we had pounding rains that came up from the south and thats a good thing because the snows come from the north and west.

I sure wish I had the cash to buy the full hard cab for my RZR because the hunting season begins on November 15th and the RZR really stinks when the branches are covered with snow. It all ends up in my lap even with the full windshield and sport hard top.

Thanks. It still takes my breath at times.

Gary, I hate a lap full of snow. I also hate it when our water line freezes. We have about 1500 feet of water line that lies on top of the ground from our spring. All I have to do is let it run, but if a small twig or leaf stops it up it's Katy bar the door.

Re: Hit A New Trail

Could never do a water line above ground here! My well is 365 feet deep and all water lines have to be at least 4 feet under ground and even then they can freeze if we get no snow cover and sub zero temps.

Three weeks ago I was in to my tree stand to check things out and couldn't see squat with all the leaves still hanging on. It was a gorgeous site and beautiful day in the woods. That night we had 23 degree temps with high winds and all the leaves were down. Had some major winds again here last night and lots of trees went down accross all the local roads. Fire companies had a busy night and the highway guys got some nice OT cleaning up after this mess.

Going to my stand again on wednesday to check things out and will need the chain saw and winch for sure just to get to it.
