07 6x6 in Iraq

Here's the Ranger I adopted and for the most part rebuilt here in Iraq. It was never maintained, and it had only 1120 miles on it before the engine was blown. After a lot of begging and searching for parts, I saved it from getting crushed to death. It now sports a custom light guard on the bumper with 3x 4" xenon's, a hefty 1/2" aluminum roof, and custom exhaust using a pressure washer muffler and a Humvee tail pipe as a stack. I'm a welder and have a very creative background, so I'm sure there is more to come. Enjoy.

First off, I would like to say thank you and am very proud of every one of you that are serving your duties in Iraq. I wish you and everyone a safe return home.

Looking good, I am sure having this little project has helped occupy your time over there. Too bad you can't customize it with chrome wheels and what not, but I guess it would not be very "CAMO" if you did that.

Take care

Well said. You've got yourself a beast and I'm glad someone saved it! Awesome to hear to revived it and got it back in action

Re: 07 6x6 in Iraq

LOL wow...i honestly didn't think this thing would draw much attention on these forums, all of your Rangers are MUCH nicer! But heck, you want more pics...you got it!

We just got done packing to move to another base, plus I'm taking my 2 week R&R leave in 5 days so I won't be able to get any good pics for a while. I chose to pack my Ranger in an enclosed container, but this is how we loaded our platoon sergeant's 6x6... hey, whatever works, right?

This is how I got it, minus the mid. axle tires. One man's trash is another man's treasure.

I have Pure Polaris xenon bulbs, and two universal ATV mufflers on order so I can run dual stacks that won't blow out our ear drums, will be picking up more driving lights when I am home, and already have 2" round mil. spec LED marker lights (red and white) so i can custom make "euro style" tail lights. As for taking it home with me...Not likely, but still possible. Thanks again to you all for your blessings, and thanks for looking!
