the warn 4000 that my polaris dealer tried to sell me was 800.00$,this seems like a very good winch so far, I guess time will tell? I'm going to order me another one a little later and fab up a mount and install one on the rear to.(going to change to a full size battery first)you could use the mount for a template and weld up a plate on a receiver hitch to use on the front or rear without much of a problem.

I would have to have them mounted permantly for my use. But everyone is different. The brackets they send fit like a factory part.

I am also getting ready to purchase a Viper. not sure which model and setup but I cant wait to have so much fun that I need it.
As far as temp mounting the winch. Harbor Freight sells a 2" receiver mount that has the standard holes for winches. I guess it would depend if you were handy with fabrication or wanted something easy to take on and off. At least the back of the bike. You could also get a front hitch and then use it on either end...... I digress. I plan on mounting in the standard location with the Viper hardware. What great packages they have. |

I am takng delivery on my new Ranger 800 XP in a couple weeks and the first add on will be the winch then the roof and front windshield
