Need a great pair of hunting, fishing or riding boots? AVOID THESE!
Here is a quick heads up to us all and pass it on to all your friends who you like.
I had a nice pair of Rocky Boot Bear Claw 2 boots and liked them so much my wife bought me a second pair so I could switch between wet and dry insides while hunting every day. I never did wear the new pair until Saturday when our hunting season opened. They just stayed in their box, brand new and I decided to break them out this season. Here they are with exactly 2 days total use in the woods. ![]() ![]() As you can easily see they have almost zero scratches or wear at all even after a couple days of hunting, Right! Check out the bottoms. ![]() ![]() Some kind of chemical reaction is happening and the rubber is turning to mush. I have black chunks all over my trucks carpet and on the floor of my home. Rocky says "Too Bad", the warranty is for one year. I did a quick Google search for Rocky boot soles and found a ton of complaints all over the net for the same issue. One guy even claims Rocky told him the boots have a "Shelf Life" and this is normal. At $169 they can shove their shelf life right where the sun don't shine! I have many different pairs of decent boots and some are over 30 years old and still going strong. Stay away from this company and warn all you buddies to do the same. They deserve to be out of business. Gary

I too once was a loyal Rocky Boots customer, and i wear my pull one Wellingtons routinly, but i just got the wife and me a new pair of Muck boots. Waterproof and warm, almost too warm some say. Got to have warm feet when your out playing or working in the snow, and this has been a snowy year so far

Makes one wish you could meet the person who said "too bad" so they could say that to your face. oh wait they wouldn't be so tactless..
Thanks for the heads up..
