2012 800 Ranger hard to start
I'm hoping someone can help me. I have a 2012 Walker Evans 800 Ranger that i recently bought. sometimes it will; not start, like its flooded or not getting gas. I have three friends that have similar problem & we buy gas at different locations. I got a lot of money tied up & hate to wind on starter . Sometimes cranks fine. does anyone know what the problem is thanks.

On one of the occasions that it won't start I'd take out one or both of the spark plugs. If it's soaked in fuel then yea, it's flooding. If they're dry, give a light taste of starting fluid when trying to start. If it'll run on ether then it's likely starving. Being a 2012 is it not still covered by warranty?

It is a computer mapping problem, Polaris is aware of it, the dealer will have to flash your computer. Had the same problem.

Great so this is where we are now. Software problems with our 4 wheelers. This computer thing has gone way to far. Can't wait for the computer fad to die out and we go back to the old way.

I hear that. I love my old Economy Power King tractors... one-cylinder Kohler gasoline engines that run great without a bit of computer hardware.
