water logged

hello everyone just signed on.i have a 2008 700 xp had it in the water up just over the motor not near as deep as ive seen some. no snorkel not taking her that deep. we have done all the normal precautions dielctric grease etc.put a new fuel pump in it less than six months ago and now its got the hesitation back fuel pressure just under 39 psi do you think the pump may be goin back out. i feel like maybe were missin something else.weve also had it all apart and checked compartements for residual water.not complaining polaris makes good stuff and i am aware its not a submarine
thanks

39psi is good, normal fuel pressure. Did you put a little synthetic oil on the gas cap seal? That has helped my MudPro a lot, but you have to get it pretty far under water to push water past the gas cap. Maybe a little water in the fuel. Can you run it with the fuel pressure gauge on and see if it fluctuates with the hesitation? Polaris has pretty decent electrical connector seals, that and dielectric grease spells no trouble there. I don't know if it's the case for you or not but after a few years of taking my MudPro swimming corrosion in the fuse and relay box has become an issue despite dielectric grease. It makes the bike do all kinds of crazy things. I usually just wind up scraping the blades of the relays and fuses with a pocket knife and 9 out of 10 times it resolves the problem. Sure it could be electrical but for me if water is causing a problem the problem will be there until you remove it, not intermittent. You did put dielectric in the spark plug boot right?
