Arrow Forum Research Survey - Help Us Improve the UTV Platform!

We Need Your Opinions!

Clarity Research, a sponsor of this forum, is a powersports research company ( www.clarityresearch.net ), and is conducting an important research study among UTV owners, UTV shoppers and visitors to this forum.

The purpose of the survey is to help manufacturers learn more about owner usage and the shopping process of buyers and potential buyers of UTVs.

Your input into the survey will aid in the design of future UTVs.

The survey should take 5-10 minutes to complete.

Just click on the link below and give us your honest opinions:

http://survey.clarityresearch.net/12...1202&id=ranger

By participating, you will have a chance to win one of two $250 major Best Buy gift cards.

There will be absolutely no sales effort as a result of completing the questionnaire.

If you have a Ranger or any UTV for that matter or you're thinking about purchasing one, please take a moment to take this survey and help out our platform

Took the survey, don't see where its very practical though. I used my Yamaha Rhino for Hunting, Camping, Hauling Firewood, and chores around the house. A lot of the questions seem to deal more towards people who use their UTV's for racing.

I would have used my Rhino more if it had a cab and heater and a better snow plow setup that didn't require having to crawl under the vehicle to install pins.

After I lost my job, and the finance company refused to change the payment due date by 3 days, refused to answer where 2 huge checks went that were sent to them to catch up the payments after my job loss, and then refused a payoff for the full amount by my grandfather but requested a cashier's check or a debit card payoff instead of a credit card multiple times, I refused to deal with Yamaha and G.E. Capital ever again. I will wait till I can shell out the cash and purchase my next UTV, which will most likely be the Polaris Ranger XP 800 or the Ranger HD 800. I love the turf mode concept which for utility use on lawns is awesome. I got to drive a 2011 Ranger XP 800 for a day a while back and was impressed with the power, maneuverability, and capacities compared to the Yamaha Rhino 700 I had.

Actually your insight is VERY helpful! The more information they have from people that use these machines for work, hunting and hauling is very useful. Thanks for participating

Not a problem, just wish the price of the machines would come down to reality along with all of the accessories. For the price of the machine and a cab you can buy a full size truck.

There are definitely pluses and minuses to both, but some of the new models are getting up there!

I too took the poll. Some of the information requested didn't appear that it would be particularly useful, especially since it felt like I was being asked the same question multiple times.

I'm also a writer who covers hunting and shooting. FYI my Ranger gets used for work around the homestead and for hunting.

After researching the Ranger's I realized that I should have bought a Ranger instead of the Yamaha Rhino. After getting to operate a Ranger for a day on my property and using it the same way I was using my rhino, I find the Ranger is more operator friendly for utility use and still very capable offroad, best of both worlds, although for the size of the Ranger I won't be able to get into a few places that I could go with the smaller size of the rhino just because trails are too narrow, but I have realized that for my use the Ranger is going to be a great asset. I also got my 83 year old grandfather to drive the Ranger for a few minutes and he agreed that it will be a great investment. He used my rhino twice in the time I had it and he liked it, but he said the Ranger rides smoother and is easier to operate as there aren't any doors to open or close, and the bed is much bigger making hauling larger items easier.

Why don't the major brand ATV/UTV companies give away a few of these machines to normal hard working people and in return request a full operation review in a few months from the person they gave the machine to? That would give a better review than a biased company doing reviews on machines that they take out and go play around in and don't do any serious work with the machine. I loved my Yamaha Rhino, but after driving a Ranger I have changed my mind. People who have operated different brands of ATV/UTV vehicles over the years can give a broader spectrum of good and bad traits of all these machines. Give me a new Polaris Ranger HD 800 and I'll truly put the machine to the test hauling and towing during wood cutting season, then in the winter on hunting trails.

Thanks for this detailed feedback about how you use your UTV and the pros and cons you have experienced. This type of information really has an impact with manufacturers.
