03 ranger 4X4 500 won't start
My father has an 03 ranger that won't start. He shut it off and it wouldn't start again. It has been running rich but not terrible. I have checked the battery (good) it is getting fuel and spark, the timing marks appear to be correct, the cam doesn't show wear but the decompression shaft has a little wear on the end. I tried a new plug but that didn't do anything. The engine will barely turn over unless I take the plug out then it spins over fine. Any help or ideas would be great. Thanks

If the motor turn over slowly it could be a weak battery, mine will not fire up if the battery is down.

Figured the problem out. The starter was weak enough that it did not spin the engine fast enough. Got a starter from db electric, excellent service.
