Engine Braking

I have an 08/500 and was thinking of going for engine braking. Anyone have any pro/con info.. I know Polaris had an engine braking kit but they pulled them all and don't offer it anymore.. Anyone know why.. What problems may I encounter..

Re: Engine Braking

When it works it works, but for the most part while your descending a steep hill, and release all fuel input, the engine seems to idle down and disconnect the brake nearly every time..

Re: Engine Braking

Polaris only offered the engine braking clutches for the atvs. They did not offer them for the ranger as the machine is to heavy and they had problems with the belts breaking. I do offer a roller secondary clutch in the clutch kit for your machine, this has ebs built in. This will give you the added engine braking your looking for plus increased performance.
