99 polaris 6x6 no fuel problems

my ranger is not getting fuel to the carb. Ive bought new fuel pump and have replaced all the lines. i can kinda prime it and it will run let it set and it wont start again. My question is Ihow do I tell if the diaphram on top of the carb is helping the fuel pump and what could cause this to go bad? I think that helps the fuel pump pump right

I dont know. I take the line off the carb and it is not sucking my finger. Should it?

Open the drain on the bottom of the carb and see if gas drains out. If not, turn on the key (don't try to start the engine, just turn on the key) - the fuel pump should come on and you should definitely get fuel coming out of the carb drain.

If no gas, then there is a blockage, or the carb float is stuck in up position and the needle valve is staying shut.

You probably need to remove the carb and thoroughly clean it. I love B12 Chemtool fuel additive for that job - it cured my Ranger and some of my other machines too. chances are you have little holes and things in the carb that are blocked up with varnish from old gasoline.
