Riding April 4th and 5th

Is anyone going riding on those days? My son and me are going Saturday to the desert it should be very wet yet. Daryl

Is the desert open?

Justin at KTM just posted on their site they are postponing the Desert Hare Scramble on April 19th. Due to the Core saying it won't be ridebale by then.

Daryl can you check and see if this is true. I don't know if I will come to ride on easter weekend or not now.

How was the riding today? Still a little to cool and wet for my liking yet.

It was cool and the snow was about 12 inches deep on the average. The road into the desert is unpassable pulling a trailer we unloaded at the boat ramp and drove in on the road in about 12 inch to 18 inch ruts. We were the only ATV's there and about 3 trucks ripping up the road. It was fun did alot of trail busting in the snow got stuck a couple of times but just backed up and hit it again. It is going to be bad until it dries up a little unless you like the mud that will be there. Thinking of maybe going to the Badlands in 2 weeks and exploring a little. Daryl

Thats what I figured, We will be in Bismarck this weekend, but no riding for me. The V hates the snow, to mutch power and I just seat and spin it.

What are you thinking for a day or days to explore out West? Maybe I can get a pass from the warden, if nothing for a day at least. I have some family from Montana that I think is going to join us in May. What did you think of the meeting last Friday? I think if they plan to have more after this next one they need to be evening meetings.

Hi Mike I am thinking of Sat only out and back same day. I was dissapointed with the meeting. I am not going to spend time fixing the ditches by hand only to have the kids in the area rip it up within a day again. If the next meeting goes like the last I will stand up and leave during it. I am not going to listen to the commisioner put us down like that. Daryl

Ya he sure didn't bring anything to the table as far as I was concerned, but complaints. I was wondering what are those trails in the Badlands he showed them building? I wonder if he remembers he is elected? I understand his complaints, but that is all he had! Let me know what Saturday you are thinking and maybe I will follow ya or meet ya out there. If the county does not want to work with us for riding areas then I guess the ditches will continue to get torn up and if they do a ban we will see how long the stay elected.

Hi Mike those trails were the Maah Daah Hey he helped with them I guess. I am thinking next Saturday April 18th I just have to see if my son has a track meet to make up I don't think he will. I will post it here as soon as I know but it looks good right now. Daryl
