North Dakota Dirt Riders Badlands Trail Ride

Hello Dirt Riders I am pleased to announce the plans for our Badlands Trail Ride. It will be on Saturday and Sunday May 16th and 17th at 10AM MDT or 11AM Central time. We will be leaving from the Buffalo Gap Campground just NW on I-94 exit 18. This ride is open to anyone on an ATV, Motorcycle, or UTV. Invite your freinds and families and if you can't stay for both days join us for what you can. Have full tanks on your machines as there will not be gas available on the ride. If you want to carry extra gas it MUST be in a drip proof gas container. Your machines must also be registered and be insured also. Bring water as this is a must and bring a lunch if you want. There will not be any facilities or restrooms available so plan ahead. we will probably ride until around 4 or 5 PM and will be in the 40 or 50 mile range by the time we are done. Some of us are going to camp and there are rooms in Medora or Belfeild or Beach if you would rather do that instead. Please get back to me if you have any questions and I would like to know who is planning on going so I can print enough maps for everyone to have. This is also dependent on if they impose any fire restrictions we won't be able to ride but I think we should be in good shape for this with the recent rains they have had. Thanks Daryl

Weather permitting, I will be going, along with the wife and kids. I believe my inlaws are also coming with their Rhino.

Re: North Dakota Dirt Riders Badlands Trail Ride

Daryl, are there any facilities at the Buffalo Gap Campground? Showers, restrooms, etc? Is this primitive or do they have electricity? Any info would be great.

Thanks
Kollin

Re: North Dakota Dirt Riders Badlands Trail Ride

Kollin,

Buffalo Gap camp ground is primitive. No power, not sure on the water, but it has vault toilets. Buffalo Gap Ranch though have power, water, and showers. We are staying in one of their cabins/rooms. There is a steakhouse & bar there also. Just do not tell them you are coming atving, not sure if they are in favor of our group or not. I think when they see $from it they will quickly though. The ranch is just a couple of miles from the camp ground. Just some info for ya. Their phone # 701-623-4200 or www.buffalogapguestranch.com

Hope we have nice weather.

Re: North Dakota Dirt Riders Badlands Trail Ride

Hi Kollin the facilities are primative. I am going to tent it I hope it is warm enough. There should be at least 50 people so far from all over the state on eveything from Razors and Mules to ATV's and dirt bikes even a group of dual sport motorcycles and a guy coming from gillette WY. I can't wait it looks like rain for a couple of days so the fire index should be low and temps in the mid sixties. Mike do you have a plan for Sunday's ride? If anyone needs to get ahold of me 400-1185 Thanks Daryl
