Yuck :P. You can keep the snow. The older I get, the more I hate snow. It has been cold here, but at least you don't have to shovel the cold.

Hey Kris, nice deer ya baged there. On that snow picture, is that a snow blower mounted on your Ranger? If it is, I'm sure interested in a rig like that, could ya give me some info on it?

Re: No RZR....justa Ranger
Ya the snowblower is attached to my Kubota L3400, sorry to mislead. It was more of a snow statement than a Ranger statement.
Hope to get back to these replys shortly....works kicking butt and I don't have much time........soon, but later....Kris

Re: No RZR....justa Ranger
Thats the nice part about being here Kris, you can stop in any time you have time and always have some friends to shoot the breeze with.
Looks like I could have a blast cutting some trails throught those hills! Welcome and stop in any time. Gary

Re: No RZR....justa Ranger
Hf Hunting Club, I can put a deer like that in the back of my RZR with no problem at all. I still would have room for condiments. See photo, also, if you take the seat out you can haul his dad at the same time. And still get back to camp before the coffee gets cold. Two people can load both halves of an elk, but one of you would have to walk. I leave all vehicles at camp when I hunt. While one person is field dressing the game, the other person is going back to get the RZR, so there is no problem with leaving the seat at camp. Often we have to drag the animal a ways to get it to an accessable spot. It is steep where we hunt, so dragging is more like catching up with the game than anything. Kind of like playing mountain pinball with the trees, with the animal being the pinball. There is usually snow on the ground when we hunt, so dragging is real easy. I have dragged a whole elk out by myself, twice, but the elk has to be really co-operative!, I said it was steep ground. I put tire chains on all four tires. By round a bout way we can get up to within a quarter mile on most animals. I have 2000 feet of rope and 8 pulleys, so I can winch an animal from about anywhere unless he is on the other side of the next mountain. Been there, done that. That is what they made back packs for isn't it? Where I hunt, any wider machine would not be able to get in. I have seen many four wheelers in this area, but in forty-five years, I have never seen a ranger, jeep, or volkswagen. It is just too narrow. Every year trees fall and are cut out of the way, sometimes I have to widen the trail for the RZR. Not much though. If I can get the RZR in, I will get the animal out.
