Front End - 4-W Drive Unit Upgrades? (2009 Ranger Crew)

Hi All,

I previously bought a 2009 Ranger Crew. When I bought it, the salesman told me that it could handle the Everglades. Now I am being told that because I bought deep "V" foam filled tires, that they cannot guarantee the front drive unit can can handle the extra stress. (We got stuck in some really bad mud on Sunday! "Peanut Butter" consistancy mud!) The front drive is no longer operational and the battery charging system (stator) no longer appears to be putting out voltage. I have constantly had to modify the Crew in order to survive in the Everglades, but now I think the Dealer is trying to get rid of me because he is afraid I will break something that he just installed.

This 2009 unit was the crappiest model ever made by Polaris. It had no space for a second battery and from the start, the "Polaris Certified Technician" was telling me it wasn't designed for this use. So far, I have kept it running, but I am getting very frustrated!

I had to put the radiator up on the top to keep the mud out of the fan and snorkle everything including the drive units. Recently, I installed a second battery and some marine switches on the console.

Here are some images:

Do they make stronger drive units?
