Best place to buy mods

hey guys and gals, new to the fourm and a ranger, i want to put a lift on my ranger so i am looking for the best place to start looking for a lift kit and suspension parts, any help would be great.

Also is it worth clutch'n for everyday use, or are they more for hard trail riding, any info would be greatly apprechitted on both accounts!

Best,
Tim

All I can base my input on is my buddy's 2001 500 4x4 Ranger (500+ hours), which he uses almost every day, and has for several years. He lives next to 800 acres of hunting land that he shares with some other guys, and he does a LOT of work with his Ranger on that property, hauling seed and firewood and other stuff.

As far as I know, his machine is all stock - so I would expect the factory clutch to be just fine for everyday work, and sometimes beyond. And I think he still has the original belt on it, too.

I wouldn't "fix" it if it ain't broken.

Don't know about the lift kit, sorry. I would hesitate to lift mine (2006 500 4x4) - don't want to make it top-heavy.

I stumbled upon this a few days ago. It deals more with engine mods, not lifts. There is a ton of different mods for all models. For my 07 500, i can get a kit that would boost my hp from 30-48. But it's $2100. Not too bad I guess. So far they seem to be about the only company that puts significant mods on 500cc's.

If you are planning on getting lifts and wheel spacers, you will need longer drive shafts. Gorilla has them but are expensive. If you are planning for that and bigger wheels you will need a clutch kit. Hope this helps.

air suspension system

I'm new to the site as well. I found this and thought it may be helpful, although quite pricey.

I wish I knew how others have thought it was worth the price.

Although this the kit you may need, I thought this may be helpful for familiarization with components http://www.highlifter.com/t-faq.aspx#lift
