2012 Ranger Crew Diesel

Hello guys. Nice forum. Well, I was about to buy a used 4 seater Rhino for the family, but I threw in an ebay bid on a Ranger Crew Diesel, not thinking I would actually win the auction. $10,600. So now I guess I'm a new Ranger owner. LOL. Gotta go pick it up in Corbin, KY. Hope it works good in the trails. I'm a little worried about the long wheel base getting hung up in the trails. Maybe some taller tires will help.

Just picked up my 2012 Crew 800 on Friday, put it through hell this past weekend. Worked like a horse with no problems, had 4 adults and 4 children in it. Ran great. Does not turn quite as sharp as XP Model, but did just fine. Wouldn't trade it for anything.

I cranked up the suspension and added 14" HD1 wheels and 27" STI Black Diamond tires. I like it a lot, so far. The Black diamonds run a little skinny though. They are at least an inch narrower than the stock tires, but that makes em easier to steer, and they should do good in the snow. I have 9" in the front and 11" wide in the rear. I think I could easily fit 11" up front and 14" wide in the rear. But its all good. I like the ITP HD1 wheels. They have a real thick rim lip. I think the offset is a little more too.

Whats the top speed of the diesel? Any regrets with the diesel, do you wish you went with the 800 gas?

Watch the video I posted up above. It seems faster now that the engine has more hours on it. I'm happy with the diesel. I'd buy it again. It goes fast enough for me, and has crazy power.

Nope. No issues yet. I just finished installing the stereo. Tomorrow we are finishing up the heater install.

Added a custom switch on the bottom for the snow plow power angle adjust.
