I love mine! Simple to install, very well made and adds that extra inch or two to glide over lots of hazzards.

If you often ride with an adult size passenger, the 2" RD lift is the perfect offset.

Re: Polaris RZR Lift Kits!!!

Can you explain the difference between this lift and some of the cheaper kits as seen on ebay? After my trip out to Wyoming, I may be in the market for a lift kit.

Also, what kind of strain do these put on axles, CV joints, etc., and for those that have them, does it make the machine feel more unstable?

BTW I will get some pictures up tonight of my trip out to the BigHorn Mountains in Wyoming. Then you will see why I am looking for a lift kit

Re: Polaris RZR Lift Kits!!!

The RD kit consists of four very well machined solid stantion blocks that fit perfectly into the attachment points at the bottom of each shock. You then attach the shocks to this new stantion and all the hardware is included.

It should not take more then an hour to install it all.

I doubt this kit adds any additional stress at all when the RZR has 2 riders in it. If you usually go alone I suspect you might feel the added height and it might add a bit more angle to the shafts.

I have around 50 miles on since I installed it and almost always have a passenger so have not noticed anything except that I don't hit bottom as much. It does actually raise the underside 2 inches and when I have a 200 pound friend get in with me I no this drops the underside down close to 2 inches.

The RD kit is very well thought out and made.

Re: Polaris RZR Lift Kits!!!

I have a Rubberdown Lift on my 09 RZR with 26" Bighorns on ITP SS108 Black rims and LOVE IT. Put over a 100 miles on this past w/k.

I personally did not put the lift on, the dealer threw it on while putting on the rest of the goodies.
They did mention that the back was a snap, but needed a extra set of hands on the front.

Definitely makes the RZR look a whole lot more meaner !!

Re: Polaris RZR Lift Kits!!!

One thing I did find that makes the install easier.

If you have your shocks set on higher then the bottom preload, turn them back down first.

After you install the lift you will still have three additional settings for the shock stiffness if you think you need them.

I found these settings worked great before the lift was added and when ever I had a 200 pound friend riding in with me. I would crank the shocks to the center position and this offset the extra weight.

Since adding the lift I have left the shocks at the low setting and seem to have a smoother ride.

They are easier to adjust if you have the preasure off the wheel and give a squirt of WD 40. Just be careful with the spanner wrench and your knuckles!

If you have any questions on the install feel free to ask here. I have installed quite a few so far.
