next year there will be a 850 rzr!!!

hi
i'm new here. i don't own any kind of machine but i do have a father-in-law that works for polaris and is good buddies with all the research and developement guys there. so i get new demo's of whatever machine whenever. last year i had the rzr s and now i have a 800 dragon for the winter. and guess what we get to try out this spring before it is launched as a new product. yup, the new 850 rzr. i've been searching around on the web and there is not really any solid info on wether the new rzr is getting a 850, just alot of hoping and praying. but i can assure you that it will. my father-in-law has seen it(not driven yet though). anyways, i think that i will be riding one next season and if its as good as or better than the regular rzr s i will buy it at the end of the season. not to gloat too much but i just wanted to let you guys know because its pretty exciting. its going to be a huge power increase because it is truly 850cc's compared to the 760cc's in the 800 model. it will be an increase of 20hp if iam correct. and the new 850 sounds 10x meaner than the 800.

Nice to hear a little inside info Mitsumotors!

I am sure a bunch of us here would love a bit more info on questions we always seem to have. I would love to know which manufacturer makes the Polaris lubricants?

Keep us posted when you hear little tid bits.

Your father in law is now in jepordy of losing his job. RD is kept under lock and key at polaris and any info that leaks out get tracked back. I have friends that work at the plant and polaris has a team that checks web sites for leak out information.

Re: next year there will be a 850 rzr!!!

Well there is truth to this. I work for a Large Automobile Manufacturing Company. And they run internet programs that search for keywords about the company. This is one way they get feedback. We had a guy at one time that gave engine specs. That next day he was let go. I try not to mention the name of my company as much as possible and if I do it has no regards to what we build.
As your father-n-law might not loose his job as Dirty Dawg said he already knew of this. So maybe old news. But thanks for your effort in sharing new update info.

I would not worry about it. The Polaris Rep I seen out driving it talked to me and told me everything about it. I did not even have to ask any questions as he gave me all the information I wanted to know. But like the others said that information is usually confidential.

Re: next year there will be a 850 rzr!!!

I always look at stuff like this and accept it with a grain of salt.

Boasts of this nature are best stated with no info to be traced back to the boaster! "so i get new demo's of whatever machine whenever. last year i had the rzr s and now i have a 800 dragon for the winter. and guess what we get to try out this spring before it is launched as a new product."

I am happy that you get the freebies and it was nice to see your info here and I am even more happy I am not your father in law!

You could have said "I have this from a good source" and that would have carried just as much weight with me and would not have raised any eyebrows at Polaris.

I always try to keep freebies totally under any radar and hope they keep coming my way. Not a big deal to us because we have all had to remove our own feet from our own mouths at one point or another.

We live and we learn but the lesson is to never bite the hand that feeds us. Boasting is just that and no one cares what result comes of it.

Josh is the admin of this site and I know the company he works for. He could easily boast about as loud as "Old Faithful" but it will only get him in a heap of trouble because everything here is public info and "big brother" might be watching.

I do have a friend who's sister is married to a guy who's sister is married to some dude in the military and is a general who says we are in deep $hit over in the middle east, if you get my drift.
