Re: Coal Creek area

I might try and come up around then. Keep me posted. Just use the trail map and stay off the Most Difficult trails and you will be fine. I forget all the numbers, but trail 22 is a good one. Don't take the #39 bypass , I had to winch 8 times on it and a straight up vertical rock at the end..... I stayed at the Windrock Camp Ground. very nice and has nice showers and cabins.

Re: Coal Creek area

Aug 24th thru the 30th we are staying at the Indian Creek park Barn. We should be there with about 30-40 friends and would love a few guides. Some want to do rocks and some are flat land lovers. Hope to see some of you there.

Re: Coal Creek area

Any recomendations on what trails to hit. Most have never ridden rocks before so we will tackle the harder stuff later in the week. I have ridden at Hatfield McCoy before and love the rocks. Many of the guys are mud lovers, any tips on where to find some. Maps should be here in a day or two so we want to start planning over a few Coors Lights.

Re: Coal Creek area

Most of the trails at coal creek have a variety of both rocks and mud. 16,22,9,11,10,2,3,5,4 are all really good trails that have rocks mud and hill climbs. As Josh said stay away from trail 39, it is very extreme. I ride coal creek almost every weekend and i have yet to get bored with it. Also dont go on trail 12 unless it has changed alot it is very difficult at some points.

Re: Coal Creek area

OK i rode trail 12 up and down this weekend. It is a blast but be warned a RZR S and a Rhino both came out looking like they had been to a demolition derby. As far as trail 39 goes, you can have it. It is way too extreme for me!
