OCEANO DUNES????

I have never been to Pismo, and I want to plan a trip. Can you get a 2wd RV down to the riding/camping area?

I checked out Google world, and it looks like you have to drive down the beach to get there, but I have read that the sand can be hard packed at times.

Re: OCEANO DUNES????

BEEN DOWN THERE ONCE GOT STUCK IN 2WD NISSAN TITAN AND A BUDDY GOT HIS LIFTED 2WD F-250 STUCK. IF YOU CAN KEEP MOVING ONCE YOUVE HIT THE SAND YOULL BE OK. WE WERE FINE UNTIL AN RV CUT US OFF AND WE HAD TO STOP. GETTING GOING AGAIN WAS AN ADVENTURE.

HOPE THIS HELPS.

Re: OCEANO DUNES????

If you lower all your tires pressure to about 12 psi you should be fine. Its that first run from the enterance to the beach that get you. Bring a good tow strap. There's always someone who will help you out, or pull it with RZR, jk.

Re: OCEANO DUNES????

you'll get stuck but air down and get a run at it will help. no sharp turns, your front tires will dig. take a shovel. try and stay in already made tracks. there is almost always someone willing to help pull you out and it helps if you offer a soda or beer, lol. i've been there several times, in a 4wd, and 2wd and never been stuck but i've helped get LOTS of people unstuck, lol. just listen to the guy that's trying to help you out, usually they know the tricks.
