RZR AMSOIL FLUID CONVERSIONS

Hey Mike, I did all the cross referencing for my RZR from the polaris fluid part numbers to the equivalent amsoil lubricants.

Can you set up a package and let me know how much it will be.

2 quarts - Amsoil Formula 4 stroke 0W-40 AFF- Engine oil, Polaris # 2871281 Need 2 quarts

1 quart - Amsoil Severe Gear 75W-90 SVG Rear gear case, Polaris # 2871653 Need 18 ounces

1 quart - Amsoil Shock Therepy Light STL Front case demand drive Polaris # 2876251 Need 6.75 ounces - If it comes in pints/16 Oz. that will be great.

2 quarts- Amsoil Series 2000 Syn. Case lube TCC Transmission & Transfer case Polaris # 2873602 Need 38 ounces 24-Transmission & 14-Transfer case

You may want to save this and post is for the RZR guys. The cross reference numbers came directly from Ed Kellerman at Amsoil.

With this kit you can do all your fluid changes at one time. I never have found the correct number for the oil filter.

Thanks and hope this helps.

Gary

Re: RZR AMSOIL FLUID CONVERSIONS

AMSOIL is now recommending AMSOIL Automatic Transmission Fluid in place of the STL Shock Therapy Fluid. Here is what I got recently from them. If you have used the STL you don't need to remove it.

Quote:
To replace Polaris part# 2871651-4 we recommend our ATF. The prior recommendation was made before we reformulated the ATF. At this point we don’t recommend STL to replace the Demand Drive Hub Fluid.
There is nothing to replace the oil filter at the present.

Amsoil policy prohibits me from posting prices on the internet so I will have to PM you that info.

Re: RZR AMSOIL FLUID CONVERSIONS

OK, Change the STL to the ATF. I got these numbers from Ed last year.

Re: RZR AMSOIL FLUID CONVERSIONS

Polaris has a new part number for the engine oil. It was 2871281 and has been changed to 2876244.

I suspect the lubricant is the same stuff in the bottle but they had to change the part number so they could raise the price to $10.99/ quart.

From my Polaris dealer to get all this stuff it will be just short of $85 and I know I will get a much better product from Amsoil for less!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know you can't post prices but if I can save $10-$15 bucks by going with Amsoil and get a better product there is not much rocket science involved

The worst Amsoil can do to me is lubrication!

2009 Ranger Oil Change Kit

I tried send a pm but it said your box was full

I have looked but dont seem to find oil change kit for my unit. I am about to hit 50 hours so figure it is about ready. Do your kits include filters also? Thanks for your time. My son also has a 2006 Polaris Sportsman 90 that needs oil mix. Do you sell this also? Thanks for your time.

Re: RZR AMSOIL FLUID CONVERSIONS

Sorry about that, I cleaned it up.

By oil mix you mean oil/gas right? Is it injector or you have to mix it in a can? AMSOIL has five (5) 2-stroke oils.

As for filters, I will need the year and model (cc's).

You did not mention what your unit is, is it a Ranger, year and CC, 4x4, 6x6?

Here is a chart of 2-stroke oils
