Power bed lift under $60 DIY!

I needed to have some assistance for dumping firewood and dirt on our property, so here is a cheap easy installation that takes about a hour to put in. This linear actuator is very powerful with 1320 lbs max lift....$48 bucks ebay. you will need a double pole double throw switch $4.27 a couple of quick release cleavis pins 3/8 from home depot $2.80 and some extra wire to extend cable up front to switch.
The bed takes around 35 seconds to make a full up or down rotation....but it beats lifting by hand.
My vehicle is a full size 2011 polaris ranger 800xp.

Note: I chose to leave the bed latching device in place, but it is not required. The bed gets pulled down super tight when lowering it.
I just ride in some hell of bumpy roads in the desert and like the extra security.
Also if you buy a different actuator.....make sure it has a 10 inch throw,

This is a good find. Now I just need to try to figure out the particulars and stroke length of one on a 2019 1000XP.

It looks like they are two different part numbers between the 900 and the 1000, so I assume this would not directly fit on mine as well.

just measure the shiny part of the shock cylinder and that is your stroke.
