So what's is everyone's opinion about the break in period? I know they recommend to follow the manual. But I've heard lots of guys say go wide open to seat the rings.. currently at 5 hours run time and still babying it.. 2019 ranger 1000xp

I never babied a 2016 general and put 8500 miles on it in two years and it still run like a top and used no oil when I traded it for a 2018 ranger xp 1000. I ran that 4000 miles in about a year and traded it for a 2019 xp 1000 northstar that currently has 3000 miles on it in the last 6 months. I changed the engine oil at 25 hours on all of them then at every 100 after that. The front and rear differential/trans at 400-500 hrs. No engine or transmission problems at all with any of them. If you ask me there is a lot of other parts that are gonna wear out long before the engines in these things.
