Yiur thoughts on what would make a good heater

I have been asked to look at building a pack powered heater for a 2012 Ranger EV thats just about to be totally rebuilt and get a Li ion pack.
While it is the Electric version it would be good to understand what would be the points to consider in general for a built in heater.

My Thoughts
Heater unit under the bonnet blowing into the cab.
Heater in the cab
Heater under the seat blowing into the cab.
Space heating only
De frost of screen.

Fixed heat output,
Variable heat output
Fixed fan speed
Variable fan speed

(Fan speed also has an effect on overall heat output, slower airflow less heat output)
Timer to ensure limited power consumption
Hot water
Direct heated air.

Any thoughts as to what you would both like and think would work would be helpful. Owing to the potential to consume perhaps 2kw/hr at full capability I would only consider these to go onto a suitable Li ion equipped version of the ranger.

My heater uses the hot air from around the exhaust system of my 900 motor.
A blower and some ducting and a few hours work and I am good to go.

Thanks, any chance you could comment on the questions I asked, especially as you have heating, a view on what you see as important from a heater would be good.

I live in a temperate climate where our average low in January is 26 degrees and although we do see below zero temps my need for a heater is minimal.
So, a simple setup is all I need and I am not knowledgeable about serious heating needs like users in colder climates as far as defrosting or air outlets and various heat ranges etc as far as use in a Ranger. I do venture out in cold temps but I am not serious about it nor do I have to work out in it.

Most automobiles have this scienced out pretty well so you might could copy that or you might check out the NorthStar models and build something like that.
