2014 Ranger 800 EFI.
When driving forward, everything seems perfect. When I put the machine in reverse, it’s like everything is trying to lock into 4wd and it starts catching, you can hear it specifically in the front end.
But, I can put the machine in neutral and try to roll it backwards by hand and after a couple feet it catches and won’t move.
I can drive up an incline, put the machine in neutral and left off the brake and it rolls back about a foot then locks up and stops.
is this something silly like a switch or some kind of solenoid or could my transmission be shot?
Any help would be appreciated, cause I’m stuck.
