Ranger Back Country

New to the form and i just picked up a 19.5 ranger backcountry. I originally planned to get a high lifter but after learning the back country is basically a high lifter woth some changes that better fit my needs i went with it.
Differences i noticed are - No outlaw mud tires. It DOES have turf mode, and it has camo instead of brong orange colors. Thats all i could tell was different. I do have a couple questions for anyone that can chime in. I know it has the reverse gear but what else is different since it has turf mode? Wondering if the whole drive train is the same claimed "20% stronger" as the HL. Also i see the rzr has 110hp while ranger is 82. Is the range capable of the same power or are the engines different?

Garage
It has the lower gearing, geared reverse and the new bevel gear turf mode.
I like that model for all around use.
That should be a great trail rig which is my main use.

The motor is exclusive to the Ranger according to the parts fiche but my guess is that it is basically almost the same as the one in the General and RZR S which are rated at 100 hp. It can be hopped up with aftermarket control units to provide lots more power.

Welcome to the forum.

Terry gilloman at gilloman innovations sells an ecu tune/clutch kit that pretty much makes it the same as the general.
