I installed my superwinch 4500 on my 18' ranger 1000 yesterday and decided to add dash mounted switches to give it a clean look. I elected to have 2 switches, 1 for power and one for running the winch so I can turn off the in/out switch if it ever fails. Cut all my pig tails and hooked up loosely and everything worked perfectly. Cut the dash squares out and went to push the 2 switches through and they are SMALLER than the holes by 1/4 inch vertically! All that time installing and never thought to double check the cutouts to the switches... now I have two black rubber shims taped to the bottom of the switch to keep it snug but I am not thrilled with that for the final product. Anyone have any ideas for a better fix or know of switches that fit the stock size cutout in a ranger?

I use the Carling Modular Switch Panel setup as you can stack as many as you want.

My 900XP uses the Contour X best I can remember. They match my Polaris switches perfectly.
I don't know what the 1000 uses for switches but they probably have a match.

I ended up ordering the carling switches and they worked great! Actually gave the dash a cleaner look too. I wish I could find polaris oem switches for every application that would match the 4x4 and sport mode switches.
Boy I wish I would've seen Rockit401's post before I installed those carling covers. That is the closest to polaris factory switches I have seen yet. I guess I know what I will be ordering if my current switches ever fail...
