If I charge the EV the battery level meter doesn't show that it charged and the EV doesn't run well as if it did not charge. If I unplug the MPC wait 15 seconds and plug it back in the meter shows full and it runs fine. Any ideas as to what is wrong and what I should do?

Open the MPC lug and look closely at the female side for evidence of heat or melted pin. It may have a burned pin not making good connection. charge fully according to charger, disconnect white connector under hood in wires that go to SOC. Wait a few seconds, re connect to reset SOC. See if that helps

Thank you for your response. I have rewired the charge circuit with a more robust system. I also installed new batteries and all is good now. Thanks again for your help. Oh, I also found out that the 2010 EV is actually a 2012 year. The man that sold it to me told me it was a 2010 but after taking out the batteries and looking more closely at the entire vehicle the Id tags all say it was built in 2012.
