I use turf mode everywhere. Even trail riding. I only lock in the rear if we stop in sugar sand and it can't get going. Be careful of other behind you because it will shoot a rooster tail if you lose traction.
I use turf mode about 95% of the time. Same with my previous 800 Ranger. No problems. I don't know personally anyone that ever had a problem with it.
I don't have overly large tires and I don't have a lift and I don't do mud.
Large tires, lift kits and mud cause most of the problems with turf mode. Notice I said "most", not all.
Does anyone know what light is available for the two openings on the front below the headlights? There is three mounting tabs behind it so I'm sure something was designed for it. Also, anyone have a blank for it, either plans or 3D printing?
I am considering putting on a set of 4 Quad Boss QBT846 28x10-14 tires all the way around. Currently I have 27x9-14 in the front and 27x11-14 in the back.

Do I need to be concerned or is there thoughts on running the same size tire all the way around...
My dad has a 2011 or 2012 ranger 800 with prospector tracks. I went out and bought a 2013 ranger 900 and he no longer wants the tracks. I was hoping they would fit or have a conversion kit, but I have been unsuccessful at locating any conversion and Polaris tells me it can't be done.... any help?
My 2019 Ranger 900 XP tends to bottom out on rocks and/or mud in trails lately when suspension is set to lowest height (factory setting) with stock 12” tires. Two questions: (1) what are the largest size tires I can get on this machine without modifications or a lift? ; (2) if I adjust...
