What is the redline on this XP 900 engine, in low range it won’t rev past about 6,900 rpm, the 1000 Highlifter I had would rev to 7,700 rpm stock. It surprised me me when it fell on it’s face at about 30 mph in low. No big deal, this isn’t a speed thing, just wondering.
The Ranger 900's are speed limited in low range by the ECU closing the throttle back to maintain speed.
The do have an rpm limiter but I doubt you will reach it with the gearing in high range.
This is the same engine that is in the RZR with conservative tuning in the ECU and it can be retuned to mid 80's horsepower and safe 8800 rpm limit.
