Hello everyone. New to the forum and having some issues. I recently purchased a used 2018 ranger crew diesel. It ran fine when I tested it and when I got it home it worked great. My wife opened it up and pressure washed everything. Now it won’t start at all. I have tried a brand new battery, checked the starter, tested voltage at the starter. When I turn the key on I have full light, dash and the glow plugs work. When I turn the key sometimes it clicks, sometimes it does nothing. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Do the diesels have the brake pressure switch? Start at the solenoid and see if it's an issue on the control side or the power side and go from there.
I’m not sure if they have a pressure switch or not. I will need to look into it. I have not owned it very long at all. I forgot to mention that I am able to get it started jumping a screwdriver across the solenoid and it runs just fine. I can shut it off with the key in the ignition.

Make her fix it! - all of these units Diesel or Gas have the brake to ignition interlock. Since it was pressure washed where it probably should not have been, some electrical connection is probably shorted out with water / dirt or wire / connector tore loose somewhere. Hope you find it soon,

Definitely check for a brake pressure switch, has all the earmarks of that. If not, I would suspect the stater solenoid itself and test to confirm.
As near as I can tell there is no pressure switch for the diesel. I could not find it on the Polaris website or the user manual. Is there a way to check to solenoid apart from the starter?

You can check the solenoid with a voltmeter. See if you get voltage on the control wire when you hit the key. If jumping across with a screwdriver works then all you need to test is if it is getting the control signal and not switching, or if there is no control signal. If there is no control signal though, you're likely going to need a wiring diagram to dive in any further. The only other option would be to backtrack the wiring harness from the solenoid and chase the wiring by hand.

My brother had the new model diesel also and had similar issues….think his was a 2018 or 19. On his if the rear brake lights didn’t come on it wouldn’t start. Even wouldn’t start sometimes when they were on and he had to keep jiggling the key in ignition before it would fire up.
Think the dealer told him it was something to do with ignition switch.
