I just took delivery on a ranger crew 1000 premium. 3 hrs of light (break in period) use and the rear end is leaking and it's headed back to the dealer. Is this a problem that others have encountered? I'm very disappointed with this. Hopefully it's a minor issue and quick fix. I had it for less than 24hrs very sad.

Haven't heard anything about it. My 2018 came from the factory with a bad seal behind the axle and leaked there.

Hard to tell from your photo where it's coming from.
Yeah…I can’t tell from pic either. Wonder if just over filled and coming out of vent tube? Either way, I’m sure they will get it taken care of…remember as long as under warranty it’s their problem…just your inconvenience.

Yeah
The level was actually 4-5oz low
Hopefully its something quick and easy

I have big plans for this unit this summer
If not from vent tube and doesn’t look to be from casing that only leave the axle seals or shaft seal. These days mechanics are rare so imagine they will just swap out the differential.

There is a good chance, it’s leaking between the case halves.
This has been a fairly regular occurrence in the General lineup.
If so, the TransAxle will need to be removed, split, cleaned and resealed.
I do not see it in the Ranger lineup very often.

Hope they check all the other fluids before summer trips for you if that was filled incorrectly from factory.
Just talked to the service manager. The leak is from the factory seal of the 2 differential half. He said that they have 5 other units with the same issue in the shop currently, I'm #6. Polaris has issues with their assembly. Very disappointed. Hopefully fixed and back in 2weeks
