2024 Polaris Xpedition

I know this section is for Ranger talk, but there does seem to be some crossover with the newly announced Xpedition. Hopefully some of these new features/accessories will lend themselves to existing/future Ranger products as well.

Some interesting new features, seems like more of a cross between a Ranger and a General, but geared toward overlanding.

The fold down rear seat storage looks great as well. Just throwing it out there for general discussion:

Did they say when you might get it?
The dealer thought as early as late July, but possibly as late as August or September. But he said we'd just have to wait and see how smooth the rollout goes. On some of the accessories, they didn't even show up in their system yet. So some of the items show up on my order with "unassigned" OEM codes.
I just figured ordering early gave me the best chance of having one to ride this year. As expensive as these things are, maybe orders will be sparse. But if people like them, it could be a big wait to get one ordering later.

Nicely configured. I agree, you might as well get it like you want it at our age. Ordering early doesn't hurt either.

Nicely done.

Looking at the new lock and ride system in these. I wonder if this will become the new standard for the rest of the machines over the next year or two. Good way to sell new accessories.
blue ones are nice. What was the final ticket price on the 2 door version? It looks pretty awesome. I guess I don't use the bed very much either really:sneaky: might be nice to have a 2 door for the trails.
The Xp versions still offer a dump bed. The adv version does not.

That was my thought as well — I like the idea of being able to move racks/storage on the fly. Not that you can’t now, just seems a bit easier with the new system. I suspect that these won’t work with existing lock and ride systems though.

It seems to me the ad was more about kayaking and mountain biking, that about the Xpedition. I would have liked to see more about the Xpedition.

I'm not sure. It looked like a flat rail that the accessories slid into. You might be able to put a set of those rails on the of the current bed. I guess we will find out between July and September hopefully.

I'm afraid to ask what the price is for the four door. Close or > 40K?
I wonder how the roll out will be. Not sure Titos crossed out enough years. But with any luck it will be a smooth timely roll out!
They are expected to hit Dealer floors this July.

They got me too. Canceled my order for new Ranger and ordered the Xpedition 2 door Northstar. I was given the same time frame. I'll be happy if I get it before hunting season. Still torn on getting the 2 seater and not the 5 seater, but the orders in so......

When I told my wife it's a 2 seater she said, "Where's Leland (our Lab) going to sit?" I said, "In the passenger seat." I got "that" look. 🤣

Either way it'll be better than my 2004 Sportsman.

I got the sense this is a ranger with rzr upgrades.

I had a 21 northstar 2 seat and loved everything except the choppy ride and lack of power....and horrid bench seat that was too tall and upright. I sold it.

I trail ride only And this new expedition appears to be what I needed to begin with.

i currently have rzrxp and love it but really like heat and ac with good enclosure.

I agree completely. I spent A LOT of money on my current Northstar to get it to the point we could enjoy it on the trails riding with the guys in their RZRs. And still, even with the Elka Stage 5 setup, we still didn't have the ride required to run the trails as hard as they do.

And the bench seat allows you to slide around and forward on twisty and rough trails. So the bucket seats were another thing that made the decision easy to pull the trigger on the new Xpedition.

I've never had a power/ acceleration issue with my Northstar. The Gilomen Challenger tune took care of that. But I agree; the stock 82HP with factory tune was too sluggish for me.

So yeah, A Northstar with RZR seating and suspension was the attraction for us. We like to go out and play with the younger kids, but just want to do it with all the comfort we can. :)
